Being that it was a fifth grade math problem we can make the assumption that there are no assumptions to be made about the number of limbs on subjects and such. So...

Sever girls, seven packs each, seven cats: 7 x 7 x 7 = 343
Each of those cats has seven kittens: 343 x 7 = 2401
Cats: 2401 + 343 = 2744
Cats' legs: 2744 x 4 = 10,976
Girls' legs: 7 x 2 = 14
Legs: 10,976 + 14 = 10990

Ten points each to Vwip and Dwiv.

I saw a couple of guys try this several times before they got it, and I can say the same about myself. It's really easy if you break it down and do it step by step.

But what about the bus driver? Was one of the girls driving?

the problem didn't say the bus was moving.

No adult supervision? Shameful. How old were these girls? Where are the parents?? That's what's wrong with society today. Too many girls alone with backpacks full of cat bodies.

And either a p or an upside-down p!

Ah - I forgot the 7 girls. Boy, I need to take some 5th grade math (or start at 4th grade math and work my way up).

Hmm.

I missed the original problem....
