still sick

This feels like that illness I used to get every year at Christmas. Not as bad, though. fortunately. It would be nice if I could go back to work on monday.

It got down to about -8°F last night. I had heard it was supposed to be get colder than that. Fortunately, I had no need to go outside. My camera is in the shop, so I couldn't have gone out to take pictures of the eclipse if I'd wanted to.

I heard birds chirping outside, a few minutes ago.

My friend's dad died of a massive brain embolism on sunday. He was only 56. The funeral is tonight, but I don't think I'm going to be able to go. We had a card to send, but can't find their address. I should have just driven by their house. I'd feel better about leaving the card in their box, if there wasn't a stamp already on the envelope.

Did you see the video on the news that they made in Fargo,ND? They were throwing cups of HOT water into the air. It instantly turned to ice crystals! I guess it was -30F.

I've seen that sort of thing on YouTube. They had predicted lower than minus ten here, but it didn't happen. And it's up around freezing, now.

Funny, I just looked out to discover it's snowing. It's been somewhat sunny most of the day. Still is, in fact.

Ooo I'm sorry you're illin'. I had a somethin-somethin after returning from San Diego and it lasted too long. Probably got it on the plane. Give yourself time and take it easy.

I was sorry to hear about your friend's dad, too. That's sad. We never know when or how we'll go, that's why I wish to heaven I'd glory in each day. But I don't.

I wish I'd been able to go to the funeral last night. I was there for his grandfather's visitation (but not funeral) last year. It's such a shame that his mother lost her father and husband in the last year.
