I felt fine on monday. Monday night, I had insomnia and only got about four hours of sleep. I woke up with a sore throat. I just generally felt crappy all day and went to be around 10:00. Now, my throat really hurts. It's gone into my ears too.

It seems like everyone at work is sick, but I wonder where I got this bug, because nobody there seems to have this. The office is filled with the sounds of coughing and blowing noses, but I don't have that.

First your throat... then your ears... next... it'll be your hair! Have the monoliths started growing yet? Remember - only a saline drip can save you!!

...oh.. wait... this isn't a horror movie about giant growing rocks taking over the earth? sorry...

Do you still have your tonsils? I hope you don't have tonsillitis--it was yucky when mda had a bout a few years ago.

I'd tell you to drink OJ, but that would hurt! Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah, I thought of that, so I had grape juice. It still stung a bit. But not as much as the tomatoey beef stew last night.

still have my tonsils.

If they get all gross (puffy w/white pustules), get thee to a doctor for some antibiotics (imo).

I still has mine too. Doctors always take a second look when I mention that. "oh.. yah.. you do. Hmmm."

Do keep an eye out for "cauliflower" (puffy w/white) and if it gets that bad, do what likethebeer says (I second that opinion).

I'm not a doctor and don't play one on TV.

Yogi Tea® Healing Formula
Throat Comfort® is a naturally sweet herbal supplement tea designed to support the respiratory system and soothe mucous membranes in the trachea, irritated by common, everyday stress. Our healing formula is made with Slippery Elm Bark and Mullein, favorite demulcents of Western and European herbalism prized for their mucilage content and usefulness in relieving minor irritation in the mucous membranes of the throat. The mucilaginous substances present coating along the throat's mucous lining, which can be especially important for singers and public speakers. Our herbal supplement tea includes Black Cherry Bark for both its soothing effects and pleasant cherry flavor. This herb, native to North America, includes cyanogenic glycosides, such as prunasin, which help suppress spasms and soothe the muscles lining the bronchioles. To support respiratory function, the recipe has also been augmented with organic Licorice (Glyceryrrhiza glabara) and warming spices.* Because Throat Comfort® is naturally tasty, gentle and effective, both children and adults will enjoy it.

Get thee to a doctor if it doesn't get better fast. I have been reading about so many people being seriously sick now. It's been rampant at school too.
