As warm as it's been, the snow got rather soft. Now it's going to get very cold, so the lion will turn to solid ice. It'll be around for a while.

The valance hung down more than 28 inches, from the edge of the gutter. Most of it fell off today, since it was warm.

Both trailers were perpendicular to the highway facing the ditch (it was a *very* wide shoulder). The other cab was facing back up the road, with my friend's cab's nose buried in its door. Nobody hurt, fortunately.

Those kinds of pictures always make the hairs on the back of my neck prickle.
One thing I'd love to see, are the statistics of truck/car and truck/ truck accidents, and see how many of them were caused by the day cabs in the city.
I'll bet it's almost 20/80 the local drivers compared to the cars. Then on the open road, I'd bet that the truck on truck accidents were the 500 mile guys. That's considered local.
