Last night the snow was coming down gently. I had the lights on on the patio, and it sparkled. By morning we had around five inches. Cyn's journey to work took four times longer than usual. It was all light and fluffy, so it didn't take too long to clear the driveway. Cyn did some before she left for work, and I did the rest. It went quickly, which was good because it was cold out there. The temp was around 20, but there was some wind, so I got very cold. And of course, it blew the fluffy stuff back onto the driveway as I threw it.

Here is the branch that fell last weekend when I was out shoveling. It's about 4" thick. And the snow from that day is visible around the base of the tree. It was warm that day, so it all melted to slush and then refroze. There's about three inches of ice underneath the five inches of fluffy stuff we got overnight. Actually it's about one inch of ice over two inches of frozen snow.
