• BE CAREFUL when closing the cover. Remove hands before the cover closes completely to prevent personal injury.

This is on a Craftsman tool box. This makes me wonder what kind of injury someone suffered, and how bad it must have been for someone to try to sue the company.

Just after you replied to this yesterday, someone sent me an e-mail with a picture of a kid who apparently was running with a fork. The tines were sticking out the top/middle of his nose!

The e-mail said, "boo-boo."

The first picture was kid with a line of dots across his nose. The second picture was the kid sitting on his mother's lap in ER. It wasn't very graphic. No blood or anything. Just the fork.

that is a "tad" more dense than the person who created the reason for the "keep hands away from blade" warning on the Craftsman table saw...

I've got a mental image of an idiot with one hand stuck in the box and the other pushing down, and later a one-handed idiot suing Sears because the instructions didn't include "remove hands before"..
