A coworker was talking about going to see Gin Blossoms tonight. He said they're doing a reunion tour, and chose the Port Washington Fish Day festival to do a warm-up show. I see that their tour starts on the 25th in Nashville.

I saw their CD when I was looking through the boxes of less-played discs, so I put it on. I've also played The James Gang, Marilyn Manson, New Model Army, Lenny Kravitz, Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, Oil Tasters, Scorpions, Montrose, Elton John, Toadies and the aforementioned Billy Squier.

Cyn is out of town this weekend, so that changes what CDs I tend to put on. I play the ones I think she likes less, and the ones you have to be in a certain mood to want to hear, because I never know if she's in that mood (and I'm seldom in that mood myself).

Funny about that current music slot on our posts. When I first saw that, I thought it was pretty cool. But I stopped using it pretty quickly, because it often distracted from my post, when I had a serious message. It just seems to interrupt the flow, so I stopped using it altogether. It wouldn't have that problem in this post, but you already know what I'm listening to.

Sounds like a pretty rousing set today! :)

Yeah, mostly. Later in the evening, too.

As I discovered when I looked them up. I came across my stack of Machines of Loving Grace too, but I passed, this time.

Too bad they're nobody again.

Oddly enough, my problem with the current music slot is that I can never decide if I should fill it out before or after I'm done writing, and if the audio didn't prompt or inform the post, is it relevant at all?

Montrose.
Ha. That's a great list of listenies up there. I really need some Squier on cd. All this time and I still don't have a single one. What a fan-slacker I am.

I feel that any song that is on while you're writing the post is fair game. Cyn lists her current music all the time, and she very often lists a song that has some sort of relevance to what she's writing. I'm not sure how she does it.

I gave a friend my Montorse CD to check them out. He described them as "dripping with 70's cheese." He made it sound like a bad thing! Of course, he was a fan of 80's cheese, so he couldn't complain much.

I'll probably burn for saying it, but I like cheese. I like cheese, I like hair, I like grunge, I like music, I like loud. I'm easy to please, so long as you don't actually suck. Of course, that's kind of subjective.
