What color would you call the color in cell 1?

For comparison, I've added two nearby colors. Cell two is obviously blue. Cell 3 is the purplest purple I can come up with. Is cell 1 closer to purple, or closer to blue?

Those flowers below the kitchen window look blue in some light and more purplish in other. I thought they looked closer to purple when I got home last night.

They really do seem to be right in the middle between the two colors. Or maybe a bit on the purple side. But some light is bluer than other, depending on the time of day and where the sun is.

First "name" to come to my mind is periwinkle. The "last name" of periwinkle is blue... I am not sure why.

You think mine is too blue? Yours is a bit on the maroon side.

I'm not sure about those Wikipedia colors. Some of them are quite a bit different than I understand them to be. I'm not sure how much of that is my eyes, how much is my misconceptions, how much is Wikipedia error, and how much is html error.
