Half a bottle of wine (Tuesday's special is half price on bottles), and a big steak. Plus soup, potato and cheesecake. Ugh. I guess I'm out of practice for overeating. I would have been okay, but since I had so much wine, I decided to kill some time before driving home, and have the dessert.

Thanks to all of you who wished me well on my birthday. Nice little party.

I took some cookies to work today, to share, because my mom's cookies are the best. I shouldn't have thought of them, because now I want one. Ugh.

I got four plaques today. In honor of four of my patents. That was kind of cool, though I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them.

Yesterday I learned I was nominated for our Customer Service Award for April. Didn't win, but it was nice to be recognized for my efforts. I think since I asked our team leader if I was eligible for the Doing Other People's Job award, it sparked the thought. ;-)

I think wine is going to be the theme for the year. Since Cyn got me that 18 bottle wine cooler for my birthday, and we had to fill it up, people have been giving us wine and certificates for buy wine. No surprise then, that Cyn and I split a bottle of Zin for my birthday.

So, yes, I had fun.

40 was my favorite birthday. I hated my 30's and was SO glad they were gone. My 40's have been a helluva lot of fun. :)
