The results of my poll were 11 votes for querry, and 17 for queery. For the record, I expected it to be the opposite.

That makes it closer to a nice, even three-fifths.

I think the statistical deviation on that would basically equalize them. I've been thinking about it, and I can't be sure how much of the way I pronounce it is objective and how much is due to trained hearing based on regional accent.

It's definitely not a good cross-section. It's just part of my friends list.

I'm not too worried about accents. I'm more interested in how it is pronounced in relation to similar words. Is it a short "e" or a long "e"?

I'm having trouble imagining anyone saying "querry". Do you mean that some people minimise the vowel so it's almost "qu'ry", or that they emphasise the R, or both, or something else?

I pronounce it like "querry," so I can say that both the e and the r are fully pronounced. It's just a short "e" instead of a long "e." This way looks to me like the more proper way. Kwer-e. I can't see where the ee sound comes into it.

Ah, I think I see (er, hear).
