I hate it when it's still daytime and the sky is clear, but there's no sun. It's only twenty after four! This ain't Alaska! what gives?

I hear that. It's driving me crazy and another month more before we really notice any sort of a reprieve!!

At least I'll be spending over a week further south, where at least it waits til 5:00 to get dark ...

It's so... unlight.

I seriously thought the same thing. I had come home at 3:30pm and the sun was so low on the horizon it might as well have been sunset. I don't know what gives, but the solstice is coming up and can't, if you ask me, get here a moment too soon. I need the days to start lengthening again and the sun to quit looking like it's going to slip off the edge of the southwestern horizon never to be seen again.

Last year, I saw the sun so seldom that I had to come home at lunch time so I could lie in the sun on the family room floor to absorb some rays.

The one nice thing is that while the sun is coming in, it reaches all the way across the room, while in the summer, the sun is so high it barely makes it in the windows at all.

Fortunately, we've had a lot of clear days, even if they have been short ones.
