Post seven pieces of music you are into right now. No matter the genre, lyrics or no, they must simply be songs or music you're enjoying now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to find out what they are listening to.

Nothing jumps out at me. For some reason, nothing's really been sinking in lately. I just went though the CDs I've played recently, and picked out a few that I liked more than the rest.

The Fire Theft by The Fire Theft. I particularly like the opening of the record, with "Uncle Mountain", "Oceans Apart" and "Chain."

"The Great Deceiver" from Starless and Bible Black, by King Crimson

Learning to Crawl (the Pretenders) is always good. "My City was Gone" has a good groove.

I like Patti Smith's Gung Ho a lot. I can't pick a single song, though. It's an overall feeling.

The same with Marillion's Anoraknophobia. There's only one song that I don't care for all that much.

"Into the Mystic" is one of my favorite songs.

"Cut the Rope" from Willy Porter is good. It's a bit funky.

Now I'm supposed to tag seven people. I'll let you discuss amonst yourselves who wants to volunteer.

I'm familiar with Nickelback, but hadn't heard that song. And my favorite model of Thunderbird is on the cover of that album.

And I really don't know any of the others. :-o

That's okay, I was just listening to them on Yahoo Music. I'll try to check out more of their stuff tomorrow. I know I've heard a lot of their songs - I just don't know which.

Oh, and I think you should buy your wife oven mitts for Christmas... extra heavy duty ones just to be on the safe side.

Hahhahaha.
I kill me.

just looked at that king crimson cd the other day, but didn't play it. tonight, i'll listen to your pick here and perhaps "into the mystic" for good measure :) i love that song, but i love van morrison so much, it's hard to pick one tune.

you're all proggy with marillion! my friend aikitaso on lj was into them at a certain point (in real life friend) or else i might never have heard of them...wait, i think they had one radio hit. man, haven't thought of them in years! :)

Marillion did "Kayleigh," back in the eighties. I still like that album, but their more recent work (no longer with the original lead singer) has a much fresher sound.

Did your other taggees oblige you with their lists, as well?
