Post seven pieces of music you are into right now. No matter the genre, lyrics or no, they must simply be songs or music you're enjoying now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to find out what they are listening to.
Nothing jumps out at me. For some reason, nothing's really been sinking in lately. I just went though the CDs I've played recently, and picked out a few that I liked more than the rest.
The Fire Theft by The Fire Theft. I particularly like the opening of the record, with "Uncle Mountain", "Oceans Apart" and "Chain."
"The Great Deceiver" from Starless and Bible Black, by King Crimson
Learning to Crawl (the Pretenders) is always good. "My City was Gone" has a good groove.
I like Patti Smith's Gung Ho a lot. I can't pick a single song, though. It's an overall feeling.
The same with Marillion's Anoraknophobia. There's only one song that I don't care for all that much.
"Into the Mystic" is one of my favorite songs.
"Cut the Rope" from Willy Porter is good. It's a bit funky.
Now I'm supposed to tag seven people. I'll let you discuss amonst yourselves who wants to volunteer.
