Earlier today it was 40° and raining. With some wind, that's about my least favorite weather (excepting special events, like hurricanes). Then it worsened slightly, as the temp dropped. I hadn't looked outside in the last half hour or forty-five minutes, and was very surprised to see half an inch of snow/sleet on the ground. The only weather I was aware of was the thunderstorm.
I wish it would have started thundering *before* I fed the cat. Not only would it have kept her from bothering me, since she'd have fled for the basement, but now she's probably going to puke up her freshly swallowed dinner. Especially after that ten-second bit of thunder, just now.
Cyn's drive normally takes her 25 minutes or so. Longer on fridays. Longer in the rain. Longer in the snow. And even longer in the first snow of the year. I'll be a little surprised if she makes it home in 45 minutes.
Edit: 50 minutes
