I came across Marylin Manson's song, "The Dope Show". The refrain sounded familiar. We're all stars now, in the dope show. It took me a while to figure out where I'd heard it. It's in one of Weird Al's polkas.

It's sad when you rely on "Weird" Al for your cultural references!

He is authentic and true to the originals though, so it makes sense that you would have picked it up! Fun fact: Al asked Eminem if he could do a parody video of the parody song that he did. When Em said no, he didn't do it! However, he did perform the song live, dressed in Em style costuming, and someone clever could have taken that vid and used it as a video... Not that it matters because his last album went nowhere, kind of like this comment!
