What performers have you seen, who later died?

The only ones I can think of that I'd seen are Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley (Alice in Chains), Warren Zevon, Steve Clark (Def Leppard) and John Panozzo (Styx). And John Entwistle and Jerry Garcia.

Strange that it's so few, while it seems like I've seen so many bands in the last twenty years.

The only one I can think of right now is Mark Sandman (Morphine).

Didn't one of the Squirrel Nut Zippers commit suicide or something? I saw them at the same festival.

i guess the guy from styx. i didn't even know he was dead. jerry for sure. john entwistle (didn't know he was dead either). keith moon i think. i don't know when he died. is pete seeger still alive?

I saw John Enwistle too. I remembered him when we were talking about this the other night, but forgot when I made this post.

Moon died in '78, and Entwistle in 2002.

Seeger is still alive. He's 86.

They were actually OK - not bad! I only heard the last few songs, and only listened to a couple. The stadium was probably not even half full. But they're a local band and have many loyal fans.

well, I meant the two dead ones, actually. I've not seen any of them individually. I saw all four of them back in 1964. they were very tiny.
