I've been so busy lately. I don't know if anyone noticed that I hadn't been around much for the last several days. My posts (and comments) are getting shorter and more seldom. That bugs me a little. There's so much that I want to see, say and do.
I was disappointed I missed the lifetime LJ accounts. $100 for ever? That's a good deal (yes I do plan on being here longer than four years. Unless Microsoft buys LJ).
Serendipity posted a link to a story about forgiving. I wanted to say,
Forgiveness isn't about convincing yourself that the one who wronged you isn't all that bad, it is about coming to terms with the damage that was done to you. (That's one reason I have always been against the death penalty. Seeing that bastard fry is not going to make you feel better in the long run.)
And I wanted to respond to Dave's really long post, but I haven't had the time.
And I wanted to say that Cyn, her daughter and I went to see "Man of La Mancha." on Sunday, and we enjoyed it.
And I wanted to say more about a lot of things, but my time is up. It's past my bedtime again, and I still didn't get everything done online that I wanted to do.

Forgiveness is tough. Some people never figure it out. But I think those are the ones who don't try. It'll come to you someday. :-]

Date: 2001-03-27 08:56 am (UTC)From:That's exactly how I feel about LJ and other online communities of which I'm a part. I've learned how to be far more concise than I'd like to. Well, it bugs me more than a little, it bugs me a lot. Because it seems to be a chronic problem with me, one that won't change in the near future. Life is just too full. And so we post when we can, all too sparingly, but what choice do we have?

Forgiveness (http://www.livejournal.com/interests.bml?int=forgiveness) has been on my interest list for quite a while.
