I went on a photo expedition with my friend Doug, today. It was fun. I hadn't done that in a few years. We went to a state park for a hike and some fall colors, but they weren't really out yet. In the woods, we found the remains of a factory. Afterwards, we drove back into Milwaukee, and Doug showed me a couple of abandoned factories. We got some good shots, though I haven't seen his yet.
I took some digital and some film, out at the park. It was good to use the old camera again. It feels so much nicer to line up the shot in the viewfinder, than to hold the little box up and aim it at the scene while watching the little screen. I only used the digital at the factory.

New System Rotary Bake Oven. I have no idea how it worked or what it was used for.

Date: 2005-10-10 03:45 pm (UTC)From:I sent Kevin a pdf of the brochure we had from 1932 with a picture, desription, and prices on it. There was also a letter from 1960 when we were appraising a factory that had one. Brand Bros wrote back saying that they discontinued the manufacture of that oven 6 years ago, and the supply of repair parts are also exhausted.
