The storm of August 18th produced 27 tornadoes. That's the single day record for Wisconsin.
The average here is 21 per season.
The total for the season is 57. Another record. All but three of those were in August and June.

It was from John Malan in the Journal Sentinel.
There were 27 tornadoes in both June and August, but Augusts were only on one day.
