I've always said that if your vanilla is plain, there's something wrong with it.
Ever have "soft serve" at DQ? They have two flavors - white and brown. I never cared much for vanilla until I grew up and discovered real vanilla ice cream and frozen custard. Good stuff.

And when I put vanilla extract and cinnamon in my French Toast batter, I can't cook without first sniffing both of those ingredients.
Plain vanilla, hrmph.
