The sellers were very nice to us. They made sure the place was spotless (though I think she kept it that way all the time). We chatted with them for a while on tuesday. They seemed happy to tell us everything that they thought we might want to know. Garbage pick up, the neighbors, things about the house. They even left some flowers for us. :-)
I thought we were being nice to the kid who bought Cyn's place, but we don't measure up to these people. :-D
They left a small toy goat for us to find. Tradition, I guess. We're at least the third new owner to find it. They hid it on top of the doorbell chimes. :-)
They also left a handmade shelf that was bolted to the wall of the family room. The previous owners had gotten it as a wedding gift, and were sad to leave it. Nobody can figure out how to get it off the wall. :-/
Tomorrow is moving day. Sunday we unpack what we can. Cyn's taking off work on Monday, and I'm taking Tuesday off. We'll get our cable installed there on Tuesday, so we'll have to come back to this house if we want to get online. :-|
The move is the part of this that is making me nervous. We've got six guys for six hours. I'm guessing that's five trips. I hope we can get all the furniture and everything we've got packed up already. Anything not packed is going to stay here for a few more days, at least. :-\
