Supergroup - first name basis

He wasn't very clear the first time, was he? ALthough I was going to put all musicians' names in the boxes, anyway - I just kinda figured... Probably because I'm such a fan of John Lennon's, and so got started in the right direction. Still, your answers were a pleasant surprise to me when I read them!

well, the first thing I thought of was like fantasy football,
but I couldn't come up with names other than johnny unitas.
then I thought bear bryant was paul, but I wasn't sure,
so I just changed entirely.

I first posted in user=classicrock, where it's obvious what you mean by "supergroup." Sometimes I don't think these things through very well. But it doesn't really matter that much, because everyone is welcome to post whatever answers they wish. Sports stars would have been good too.
