The thing I was most disappointed about was that I didn't make enough introductions. I had a couple of friends that I didn't introduce to my parents. Or to some other friends. I didn't realize until later, that there were a couple of people whom I didn't introduce to Cindy. Most of the intros were left to chance, like when the appropriate people were in the same location I remembered to say something.

Aw, you couldn't be everywhere! I remember that at the wedding reception my parents planned for us in Minnesota nearly half a year after C and I got married and moved to California (in 1979), it was exhausting to keep up with everyone there. Many had never met C, but fortunately many also took the initiative to introduce themselves, which helped a lot. I remember wanting just to get over to the buffet table to eat, but being interrupted with every step. By the time we got to the desserts, the chocolate mousse that many had raved about was completely gone. My brother, who is a Great Communicator, talked so much with so many people that he never did get anything to eat. Fortunately we brought so much food back to my parents' place that he enjoyed a very late dinner.

One person, whom I've been friends with for twenty years, recently said he'd never met my dad. Still hasn't, I guess. :-(

Well, at least he saw your dad's yard!
