(07/26/04) -- Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has checked back into a rehab for alcohol abuse after falling off the wagon. Sources say that he checked into the Priory in London in an effort to conquer his addition to booze. Wood's decision came after an incident in which he crawled under a table at a restaurant and pretended to bite people's ankles. Hmmm. Sure he wasn't just hungry? This is the third time Ronnie, 57, has sought treatment for his condition in four years. A source close to the painter/guitarist said: "The problem for him is always when the Stones come off tour - he finds it hard to occupy his time. He realized it had got hold of him again when he was a t a restaurant with his Jo and Kate Moss. He had clearly been drinking and caused a scene by crawling under the table, pretending to bit people's ankles. But his frame of mind is very positive. Ronnie is getting a lot out of his treatment." In a candid interview a few months back, Wood said he's used to drinking eight pints of Guinness, two bottles of Vodka and a bottle of Sambuca a day. Yeah, rehab might be a wise idea.
