Alone?

A friend who I hadn't seen in a long time stopped by last night. He used to be on the internet a lot, but doesn't have the time for it anymore. He said I shouldn't spend so much time online. He said I have better things to do. I should get a life. The internet is so impersonal. I just thought, "he just spent his time in the wrong places!"

Hey, if it was impersonal I wouldn't be here at all. Tell your friend about making friends from all over the world, some of whom you meet offline, (which is always weird and usually wonderful), some of whom you continue to meet for 5 years and counting... Well, I don't know about you, but it's been that way for me. I owe a lot to my Net-based friendships. Although I do have a life offline which is very full and enjoyable, and I probably do spend too much time online, I've reaped tons of rewards from being here.
