Hurting. My back is killing me. Of course, it's been that way all week. *sigh* *groan*
We started about 9:30. and ended about 7:30. We got about 5/8 of the way done. Wasn't really pleased about that. I originally expected to finish. Then, after we startd, I expected to get 3/4 of the way done. Oh well.
We're trying to get Cyn's place fixed up for sale next year. This roof will cost less than $600. I think the savings is worth doing it myself. It's taking two days, though. Four, really, because I'm helping Bill with his, in esxchange for his help on this one.

Date: 2003-05-05 08:08 pm (UTC)From:I helped with a roof that took six people all day. This one was half the size with half the crew. But it took twice as long.
The problem was that it was so steep. It was harder to move arouind up there, and it took time just to set up and remove the roof jacks, not to mention the difficulty of just getting the shingles up there. That previous project was a relatively flat roof, so the shingles were delivered to the roof, and we could just walk them over to where we were working.
