All week it has been around freezing. We've gotten some light snow.

Yesterday it was foggy/misting/rainy until around 7:00. That's when the temperature dropped below freezing, and the roads became slick sheets of ice. Then it started snowing.

This morning my car doors were frozen shut. I had to crawl in through the hatch back to start it. I let it run for about fifteen minutes, and then it was warmed up enough that the door would open.

I wonder if we'll have a normal winter next year.

Yesterday someone was joking about how much snow we used to get. "When I was a kid the snowbanks were over my head!" Yeah, well, when I was a kid, we *had* snowbanks.

My car doors were frozen shut this morning too, for the first time this winter. Ugh. It's supposed to be reeeally chilly for a couple of days and then I think normalize again ... I hope ...

That is so funny, as there was just an article in our local paper about a lady saying the very same thing..."when I was growing up around here the snow used to be a foot or two tall every winter"...this year we haven't even gotten one day of snow...

The year Cindy was born I had to travel back and forth each week to meet Chuck's car pool to Chicago. There was so much snow and the snowplows just kept piling it up along the side of the road. When it melted, they found a number of cars that had stalled by the side and then been buried in snow until the thaw.
