My mom and I took a trip to Florida, in 1994. We saw the Disney parks and Universal Studios park, Cape Canaveral, and Sea World. That last park was my favorite.
The first pic looks like our lower mainland's skytrain service, and the second/third look like our science world. Nifty considering those pics were taken in Florida.
Ahh, cool, I've been there too. Twice actually, many years ago. I remember some sort of Indiana Jones section, and a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids section as well. I remember some sort of ride inside the Epcot globe too. Do you remember what movies (if any) were featured the year you went?
The ride inside the sphere was a history of the world kind of thing.
Seems like I saw a Honey I Shrunk the Audience 3d thing.
Universal had a Back to the Future ride. We saw four parks, so I have trouble rememebering. Not to mention that it was almost 11 years ago. Lesse... Star Wars. ET.
Heh, we might've gone the same year then. Wacky! I remember some sort of park constructed with large objects from the movie, like the 2-story tall blue lego piece, and you could walk through the park with its towering "blades of grass" and feel like you were tiny. Ooh, you're lucky to have caught a Star Wars feature!
It was the Star Wars ride at Disney/MGM, I think. A bunch of people in a motion controlled space ship, with a film projected into the front. I remember more of all the stuff on display, waiting for the ride than the ride itself.
Ah yes. The Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It seems like only 21 years ago, it opened.
You know, there don't need to be lines for Disney rides. They could create peoplemovers or small rotating auditoriums and have people enjoy an advertisement for Coca-Cola or Ford as they watch some informational 3D film, narrated by the Beloved Mrs. Potts from "Beauty And The Beast," Miss Angela Lansbury.
If that idea gets used, I'd like one tenth of one cent for every customer that negotiates the park. I'd say that was fair.
And Fair it is! Have you seen the pics of women who like to disrobe on the monorail (and in other theme parks too)? doeadear first called my attention to it. I guess something about the mouse makes some women need to get nekkid.

I've seen pictures of the women who flash the cameras on Space Mountain.
