For those of you who took my poll, and are waiting for the answer, I have never had a pet named King. Seven of you answered correctly.
My first pet was a turtle. I think I was eight or nine. The turtle had no name, as far as I can recall. My dad rescued it from the middle of a road. We put it in a box in some dirt with a pan of water. I had it for three days, before it disappeared. My friends and I accused the mean girl across the street of stealing it, but years later, I decided my dad probably returned it to the wild. Who knows.
When I was in high school, my dad had a black lab named Maxi. I liked her a lot. I went over to his house a lot, and got her out of her pen to play. We'd play chase-the-stick, or play in the woods.
So that's about it for pets in my life. I've never had much interest in having animals around.

but, to each his own~
i've had cats, dogs, hamsters, turtles,
too many fish, ...i think that's it~
but we always had a pet while i was growing up-
at all times~
zola is by far
the funniest, smartest,
sexiest, cutest cat alive
and a joy to behold
as well as play with!
...and no, i'm not embarassed to admit it!
