Those throat lozenges that are wrapped in the loudest, crinkliest plastic available. People who bring them to the symphony. People who don't unwrap them before the music starts. People who don't hold them underneath their coats on their laps when they unwrap them. People who open them very slowly instead of quickly, getting it over with all at once, because slowly does not equate to quietly. People who wait until their neighbor is done opening hers before starting their own unwrapping ordeals.

LOL...I feel that same way about anything crunchy...like potato chip bags.
My kids are always opening them during an important part of the news or a movie...and they think opening it slowly makes it quieter..HA!

Do they make an announcement about that--or put something in the program? At the plays at the Rep, they ALWAYS have Joe Henreddy come up, remind people to unwrap their lozenges "now" if they think they may need them, and to turn off their cell phones.

I heard that announcement at a play too. The only announcement there is about pagers, phones and watches.
