Every day, I make a list of things that I'm going to get done that day, and every day, I only get about half of them done. I wonder if today will be any different.

Today it is rainy and humid, so I don't think I'm going to do any painting. I'd work in the basement, but my back has been bothering me. I should clean up my garage windows, and fix a lock. I could try to cut down that jungle next to my driveway (again). I still have a lot of papers to sort and a checkbook to balance.

It sounds like I can get most of that done, but we'll see. Based on past performance, I'd guess I'll only get half of that done.

I was told once a good way to do lists is make 'short term' 'medium' and 'long term' goals or things that need to be done...I hate lists but I use them all the time :)

That's exactly what I did. :-) I made two lists. One was little projects. The ones where I can get a few done in an evening, and ones that are of the daily variety - do laundry, clean the bathroom - things like that. The other was of big projects, like painting the garage - ones that I have to plan for. I think I'll add a third list, for the medium ones, though. Thanks.

OK, so we wasted some time reading the Sunday newspaper and we made your mom happy for her birthday. That was worthwhile. The project you're doing is very time intensive and tedious (fixing the garage windows), but it's looking good. I hope you don't beat yourself up for not getting more done today.

No, I'm not upset, it's just a little disappointing. I mean, if I couldn't do it this weekend, when can I get tons of things done? Actually, there was one taks I forgot about, that disappoints me - getting those seeds and some other things mailed out to friends.
