Unfortunately, like so many other things, people fool themselves into thinking that this is why we hire governments - so someone else can take the blame - and I say blame because a hell ofa lot of people think 'responsible' and 'blame' are the same thing.

I had a high school teacher who used to say all the time: "There's no such thing as a free lunch." Of course, he also said: "We'll all end up across the street anyway" (across the street was a graveyard) and "Always remember, steel cancels flesh" (about driving).
