Current Weather: It rained today. Quite a bit. And it got below freezing. I had a few interesting moments on the way home form work. Like when I slid down a hill toward a parked truck. There is a lot of water out there. And ice. And now it is snowing. I hope the snow melts into the surface fo the ice, rather than just sitting on top of it, creating a super slick surface.
Current Mood: Tired and cold. I've been cold all day.
Current Music: The Kinks
Current Food: Rice Chex with some old milk that was just barely edible. (You know, they're pretty good with those expiration dates.) Earlier I had some month-old eggs. Tomorrow I'll probably have a grilled cheese and egg sandwich, to use up that last old egg and some of that cheese before it gets moldy.

Well, I moved to the High Desert in 1984. (the year Sal & I got married....)
I was on my way to work one day, and it had snowed...(which I had never seen falling before) let alone hitting black ice that lay in wait underneath the snow covered streets...
I noticed cars in front of me just slipping away..and low and behold! Right smack dab in front of Roy Rogers house,....I slipped....WOOooooooo! good thing I took my foot of the gas and break...but I just kept sliding....right into his neighbors yard........
It is a scary thing...I am relieved that you didn't get hurt....
