time off

I took the afternoon off yesterday to get some things done. I wanted to get some work done outside, and I'm never around enough on the weekend. I kept Sunday open for that, but it rained. And I'm going camping this weekend. I knew the weather would be nice, so I took half a vacation day. This was the first time this year it was above 70°, and possibly the first time this year it was above 60°.

So I:
got my car worked on
walked over to Subway for a sandwich and read the paper
walked up to a store to pick up some things I'd ordered
stopped by a friend's, who I seldom see, and said hi
walked home
cleaned out the winter garbage from my flower beds
did a load of laundry
fixed my bed
mostly packed for camping
went shopping for the food
talked on the phone with another friend who I seldom talk with

The only things I didn't get done, that I needed to were the dishes and finishing packing. That's just because I was on the phone for over an hour.

sounds productive to me.......

i will consider this coming weekend productive if i can escape from the herd to ski a few km's.....
