Sometimes I think it's Pink Floyd... every once in a while, when I was younger, I thought it was U2... but hey, I am a Pete Townshend devotee, so I *had* to vote yes on the matter of The Who.

Not Your Stepping Stone

Aw c'mon, guys! You aren't taking this seriously!

Let's get serious for just a moment...quiet like at church *snicker* Shhhhhh!

OK now, I don't think I can name any one band as the best band of all time. There are too many differing genres of music and too many bands that are good at their unique style. It's like saying so-and-so is the best human being of all time. The Who is good at what they do, but the best?....ummmm....can't go with you on that one.

Freekee, I'm not a big Who fan....Roger Daltry kind of annoys me!!! (Pete's very cool, though.)

You don't like the Who. You don't like the Doors. You know what? I don't think I like YOU! How do you like that? :p

The Who is most definitely a *live* band. They're GREAT live (although still not the best).

Thank you!! For the post and all of you who commented! I got a series of real good laughs, and I really, really needed that.

The greatest rock and roll band in the world is The Rolling Stones.

All right!!! I must agree. And they are STILL pretty dang good. Went to their Bridges over Babylon concert and it was fantastic!!!

And your poll was funny. :)

YES! Alright!

I've seen them in concert 6 times, including the most recent "No Security" tour, but Bridges to Babylon was the single best concert I've ever attended in my entire life (and I've attended many).

I saw it in Miami and it lasted forever. They had third Eye Blind, Smashing Pumkins, Marilyn Mansion, and Dave Matthews each doing 45 minutes before they came out and they did 4 hours. It was incredible!!! And the pyrotechnics were fabulous.
