I went to my Dad's. It was nice. Just him, me, stepmom, stepsister and new stepniece, Sky. After dinner, we watched three reels of slides. That was fun. The steps had never seen my dad without his beard (pre-1972). And of course I was such a cute little alien baby. My sister was cute too, but not so alien.
My dad says that when I was three, I could name every car on the road - make and model. And I was starting to read. I was sounding out words on Billboards. My kindergarten teacher didn't believe that I could read. It was still rare at that time. And he said when I was in the second grade, I was tested at a 9th grade reading level.
After the slides, I started feeling bad. Cold. Achy neck, and later an achy head. (I'm coughing now. I'm going to bed very soon.)
Dad got me a bottle of Scotch. The Dalmore. 12 yr. I gave him Balvennie 15 yr. single barrel. We tried it. VERY good. Smooth, not too strong.
It was a nice quiet evening. Even Sky slept most of the evening.
Good night.
