the weekend

Yesterday, we drove up to Appleton to a gallery talk at the art museum. It was about the same distance away as Chicago, but a much easier drive. I think we spent as much time at the museum as we did on the drive - one way. It wasn't until after we got home that we thought of a couple other things we could have done on the way (besides dinner). One was stopping halfway there, at a gallery where someone we know is having an exhibition of his work.

Today was more laid back for me. Cindy did her usual Sunday housework chores, but I didn't do as much. Worked on the whisky tasting a bit. Got outside (it's been warm) and picked up some trash from the gardens. Took care of some CoPA business. Cleaned the shower. And we did some planning for our trip to New York next month.

Tomorrow is the SAS meeting, and Tuesday is CoPA. After that, the calendar is open again for a week.
