Cindy found an article comparing night owls and early birds. It said that people who like getting up early function better in the morning, and people who like to stay up late function better in the evening. No shit, right? But the article was a little more detailed on this time frame.

So, obviously, at 9am, us night owls aren't good for much. But the article was talking in terms of ten hours. Ten hours after rising, the early birds are starting to slow down. And ten hours after rising, the night owls are hitting their stride. This is why Cindy says her brain is turning to mush near the end of the workday, and why when I'm getting near quitting time, I don't want to stop because I'm on a roll.

You wouldn't think there'd be much difference in late afternoon. Funny how it goes deeper than you'd expect.
