One morning, I noticed that the back of my phone (Galaxy S7) was broken. There was a spiderweb of cracks running form an impact point. I had been at a beerhaus the night before, and the only think I could think of was when it was under a the menu, and it was on top of something small, like a pen, and I might have set my beer mug down on it.

One morning last week, I took it out of my pocket midmorning at work, and there was another broken spot. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there at breakfast time. I went through my whole morning and couldn't come up with anything that would have caused it. A couple of days later, it seemed to have gotten worse. Not sure, but small shards of glass were coming out.

I looked it up to see how to replace it. I discovered that the back is indeed glass (with a black plastic backing). You have to heat it up to soften the adhesive, then pry it off. Fortunately, they're only about ten bucks.

But it's weird I can't think of how it would have been broken. The only likely thing is that I lean my butt against the kitchen counter.
