So, let's talk about the weather. I had been complaining that there was no snow and that it wasn't very cold. Now we've gotten snow, and it's been very cold.

We got about four inches of snow, five days ago. Then it got very cold. Below zero ever night for the last three nights. Last night it warmed up and we're in the midst of a snowstorm. There's been wind, so there was a big drift across the front of the garage, then mostly clear partway down, then a good foot of snow for the last ten feet. At least that's what it looked like to me, from inside the house. Cyn had to shovel it. It took her several tries in between resting.

After that she went to work. I think she agreed to that before she realized how bad the end was. It's still snowing, so I hope it doesn't get too bad by the time she comes home. Or I hope the neighbor comes over with his snowblower before then.

The predicted high temperatures for the next three days are: 3°, -10° and -3°F. Then it will warm up and we'll see a little bit of snow early next week, and maybe some rain. :-(

ten years

When it's this cold, I like to go down by the lake and take pictures of the ice formations. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't.
