The weather this weekend was just gorgeous. Upper seventies and not a cloud in the sky. There are so few days like this in a year. I wish I could spend more time out there. I wish I could take my computer on the patio. I wish I could sort papers out there, and do all the other chores, like vacuuming and doing the dishes. There's only so much yard work to do, and the other stuff doesn't get done.

I took Friday off work, since it was so nice. I did go back in for a little while at lunch time to make sandwiches for a homeless shelter. I worked in the yard in the afternoon. In the evening, Cindy and I took a walk in town and stopped in the new brewery for a drink.

Yesterday morning a friend came over with a sod cutter and we cleared a small portion of the lawn. I'm going to make it a wildflower/prairie grass bed. After that I didn't do much for the afternoon. I wanted to be outdoors, but there wasn't much to do. I spent quite a while reading on the patio. In the evening, we drove down to Racine to meet Heather (Cindy's daughter) and her husband Greg for dinner at a Spanish place.
