the new style
May. 16th, 2014 11:14 amSo they changed the look of LiveJournal a little bit. *shrug* I've seen it many times over the years. It stopped being even annoying quite some time ago. They changed the names of things. We now have feeds and blogs rather than friends pages and journals. It being a journal was once a point of pride. Oh well. They want to make it feel more familiar to potential users. They'll learn how to use it once they get here.
The only time changes upset me is when functionality changes. That didn't happen this time, as far as I can tell. Just the names for things, and the locations for links, but only a little bit.
Every year or so, they change things on Flickr. The time before last, everybody got upset and were leaving the site en masse. I couldn't understand it at all. To me, it hardly seemed to have changed. But the last time it changed, they changed it a lot. They made it harder to interact with people. Harder to see the textual information I uploaded with my photos. They completely removed a feature or two that was unique to the site. That upset me. But I stayed with it, and now I'm used to it. Still not happy about the changes.
But LJ? Still the same. Now the changes they made last time...
