new glasses

I got my new glasses yesterday. I hate them. It's my second pair of progressive lenses (bifocals without lines). I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the first pair because, well, that's quite a change. This one is only a little better. There's so much variation in the way they make lenses these days. My first pair had some trick where they make the field of vision wider. This is the "normal" kind, where you have to look pretty much straight through the middle of the lenses for things to be in focus - for that distance. Nobody told me that about progressive lenses.

The next time I have to get new glasses, I think I'm either going to get bifocals or the surgery.
