I had something going on almost every day last week. St. Andrew's Society on Monday. Doug came over on Wednesday. Went out to my dad's for Scotch on Thursday. Photowalk on Saturday, Symphony Saturday night, gaming on sunday.
Got my kilt in the mail on Thursday and wore it to my dad's that night. We did a peated whisky tasting with one other St. Andrew's guy. He and my dad are the society's Scotchmasters, and they've invited me onto the team.
Cyn cooked a turkey breast for dinner yesterday afternoon. I ended up eating more food that evening at gaming. Brandon made chili, and Derek brought cheesecake.
It was warm most of the week, with highs in the upper thirties. Saturday it was even warmer. It was in the low forties for our photowalk. There was a pretty good turnout, due in part to the weather. The temperature dropped, that night, and the winds picked up. We were walking down Water Street to the theater, when we got hit by some wind, and were pushed down the street. When we were walking back up the street afterwards, we had to lean into it. Then it picked up even more for a little bit, and we had to push, to keep walking. There were occasional steady 40 mph winds. That's pretty rare around here.
The symphony was an odd evening. It was sold out. The guy next to me was ridiculing one of the pieces, afterwards. The principal violist dropped his bow. Someone's alarm watch went off during the performace.
