bad photo day
Jun. 5th, 2010 10:32 pmI often have trouble with my photos, because I forget to check my settings. I'll be shooting for a while with the wrong white balance (sun or incandescent), or the wrong ISO or something. I'll forget to check *all* the settings, and the camera will stay on whatever I was shooting the night before. I'm getting better at this. I remember checking both the white balance and the ISO today.
Today I went to the Milwaukee Highland Games. I saw a sheep herding demo, caber tossing and some pipe and drum competition. My camera was set on an aperture of F20, from last weekend. In bright sun, I was shooting 1/50 shutter speed, though it was overcast for much of the day. That's so slow I should have been able to hear it. I didn't realize what I had done until I stopped in a cemetery on the way home. I was in light shade, and I heard a lag between shutter open and shutter close.
So here's the best I got. You can see the blurriness.
