This was in Perry Lakes park, in Perry County, Alabama. This is the parking lot, of course. There are three buildings, and a canopy that looks like a bus stop.

When my cousin was showing me around town, we stopped at the chamber of commerce (in a restored train depot), and they guy there ran down a list of all the famous and historic things in Marion. One of the things he mentioned was the tallest burn tower in the US. Later, I asked my cousin what that was. He said it was a bird tower, for birdwatching. He thought that would be a nice place to go, and since he'd donated money for its construction a couple of years ago, and had never seen it, we went.

I just thought I'd point out that likethebeer brought up some info about the design studio that created the outhouses. They were created by Rural Studio. Rural Studio is a design-build architecture studio run by Auburn University, which aims to teach students about the social responsibilities of the profession of architecture while also providing safe, well-constructed and inspirational homes and buildings for poor communities in rural west Alabama.
