Let me preface this by saying it doesn't apply to any LiveJournalers.

I'm really tried of hearing how bad the weather is. We're having a record year for snow, and just about every week, the temperature drops below zero for a night or two. I understand that this is a pain in the ass. I just don't want to hear your constant griping. Constant... griping. It's been like this for weeks, and it's liable to continue for weeks. This is February in Wisconsin. Consider yourself lucky that we had warm, and for the most part snow-free Februaries for the last ten years or more. And stop saying that you haven't seen the sun in weeks. I know once or twice a week isn't much, but
it's not true.

I swear, if I hear "enough is enough!" one more time I'm going to smack you.

Here are some positives to think about. It's been cold, so all that snow has been light and fluffy, rather than wet and heavy. Even the cloudy days are bright due to the snow on the ground. Snow cover is good for your garden and lawn. Having sixty-degree days in February is not normal. What we're getting now is not so far extreme to the opposite. This keeps snowblower manufacturers and plow drivers in business. I know people in both categories. [edit - one more] I've gotten a lot of exercise this year!

As much as I like getting chocolate and dressing up in costumes, Valentine's Day is not like other holidays.
