misplaced keys
Dec. 3rd, 2006 10:34 amLast weekend, when we were at Cyn's mom's, she asked us to get something from her car. On thursday morning, Cyn discovered Marge's keys in her coat pocket. She put them on the kitchen table to give back today.
On friday, my mom called to ask if we were missing any keys. We weren't, so she decided the set of keys she had belonged to a guy from her church.
Friday night, I drove my mom to a friends house where she would stay the night, since she was leaving for vacation early in the morning. On the way there, she realized she had her extra set of car keys, so she gave them to me to drop off at her place or hold onto until she got back.
On saturday, Cyn saw my mom's keys and said something about remembering to take them back to her mom. I said they were my mom's keys. This began a search for her mom's keys. They were nowhere to be found.
Then I remembered my mom's question about keys. My mom had stopped over on thursday afternoon. She must have picked up Marge's keys, thinking they were hers. Since she was gone on her trip, I couldn't ask her. I recalled her saying she'd drop them off at church. We went over there. A guy was just leaving, but he told us that Pastor Dave went to get a nativity scene and would be back in a couple of minutes. We were there for almost ten when he showed up and found the keys for us.
Marge's keys really know how to get around.
