Yeah, I'm posting about the weather again. Deal with it.

On wednesday, the temp dropped by almost twenty degrees. Thursday, it was twenty degrees colder yet. And windy, so it was really fricking cold out there. Like winter, in fact. The forecasts had been calling for snow on thursday and friday, but it was only cloudy, and clearing. The sun was out by late afternoon. Still damn cold, though. In the evening, the radar didn't show any precipitation... except down in Illinois. It seemed to be moving northeast, and it was in a northeastern line, so I was doubtful that we were going to get any of it. It still wasn't snowing by midnight when I went to bed.

Cyn woke me up before 6:30 complaining about the snow. She said there were three inches of it in the driveway. It sounded pretty bad, and pretty much just like the forecasts said - starting after midnight, with most accumulation happening in the morning hours. She stayed home from work. When I got up, there were a few inches of snow covering the plants outside the back windows. Within a couple of hours, there was a three-foot drift.

Around two o'clock, the snow quit and the sky cleared. Very pretty, but still damn cold. Actually, it was near thirty, but windy. Cyn and I went out and shoveled for over an hour and a half. I'm beat. I used a lot of muscles. Probably hadn't used them since last winter. The snow was surprisingly heavy and sticky. It was really a pain, since it stuck to our shovels. I tried WD-40 on the shovel, and it seemed to help after a while.

If the snow is nice tomorrow, I want to ski.
