Before we were married, Cyn had four kitchen chairs, and I had four. I also had two extra chairs, from long ago, as well as two folding card table chairs. Her kitchen table fell apart, so when we were selling her house, we bought a new table and four chairs. That's what we use in our kitchen now. After we bought this house, we bought a fancy dining room table with six chairs.

She had a steno chair that she used with her computer. It's broken, but it only needs a couple of screws. I had a chair at my desk, at my old house. Then a friend gave me a nicer one, but it was uncomfortable, so now it's in the basement. Last week, I bought a new chair for use with my computer, so my old one is in the basement. Cyn got a nice desk chair from work.

This summer we bought a patio set with six chairs. We have five old webbing-style lawn chairs from Cyn's old house. We also have a pair of those folding chairs that everybody seems to have these days. I've got a nice chair that I take camping with me. I've got four of those really old metal lawn chairs that my grandparents got when my dad was a kid. I intend to take the rust off and paint them. Cyn had five plastic stackable lawn chairs, too. And then we forgot to take our chairs with us when we went camping last month, so we bought one more at St. Vinnie's for four bucks. I wanted to donate it back when we were done, but they were closed then.

We've got two recliners in the living room, one which came from my mom, and one which belongs to Michael. The rocking chair that Cyn got when Heather was born is in there too. The family room has a recliner that we got from my dad, and a black leather-looking swivel chair that I got from a friend. It doesn't quite go, decor-wise, but it's comfortable, and it's good that we can move it around. Our family room downstairs has the recliner that used to be in the family room upstairs.

Just last weekend, I threw away a rocking chair which I got when I was small. I was kind of sad to see it go, but it wasn't in very good shape any more. I have a small chair that came from an elementary school. I used it in my workroom at the duplex because of the low ceiling. I don't think I'll use it here, but I'm not going to get rid of it until I know for sure.
