I had to go to Chicago to attend a trade show, so I worked it to go on a Sunday. I dropped Cyn off at ravengirl's in the morning, and went to the show. I found my way to the show easily easily, despite having little idea how to get there.

The packaging show was a little dull. I usually look forward to this one, but I guess I've seen it all before. Less than halfway through it, my hip started hurting. I have no idea why. It hasn't done that in years, and then it was because my knee was out of whack. So the rest of my muscles down there are all stiff from compensating for the hip. I probably should have done some stretching excercises or something when I got out of the car. Seated for 2-1/2 hours, then on my feet for four.

After the show I hung out with seamusd for a while. It was nice to chat. Then the girls joined us and we went out to eat.

Then we came home and saw some spectacular northern lights. By "spectacular," I don't mean like you see in pictures from the arctic, I mean "spectacular for here." I've only seen them once or twice in my life, and they didn't look anywhere near as nice as this. They filled up one full half of the sky, east to west, north to straight over head.
